Hi, can I see how this works whith SSI (Server Side Includes)? I haven't gotten some SSI support yet so I'd like to see it working with this hack. Thanks in advance.

Because I'm so intellegent hehe, I ran the MHX file that came with this hack, then upload the files, then ran the install.cgi, lol

I was wondering why the "who's online" hack was installed on my board twice, but screw it, I'm just gonna reinstall the whole thing from scratch. I tried what you said Qasic, but it's still doing it. Not to worry, I should be using UBB 6.05 anyway. I only have 10 members, so it shouldn't be a huge deal,

I said I would like to see SSI working with this hack on someone elses page. I didn't say that I didn't know how to.

I have version 3.2beta of Whos Online.

Is there any easy way of upgrading to 4.0 or removing my current version without having to manual hack.

The auto installer is very annoying also. ON the two times ive tried it on another board it says something about an error on line4 and i have to manual hack. I rechecked all the CHMOD on files and its fine.
Any help on both topics?

Hi, I just can't get ultimatebb_whos_online_install.cgi to run! I've chmodded everything to 777 and it still says 'Internal Server Error!' HEELP!!! I've even tried chmodding everything to 755 but that didn't work either. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Seems that all the files I try to download from UBB™ 6.0x Hacks doesn't work. What's up with that? The links seem to be broken or something.

Did you manually hack this in? This seems to be a problem only occurring when you manually hack it. You may want to try re-hacking ultimatebb.cgi to see if this helps.

Not really. That's a very old beta you're holding. You may be better upgradin to UBB 6.1 and applying the new mods that have started to come out for it including WOL.

You'll have to manually hack and then run the install_templates option.

Have you changed the Perl line at the top of ultimatebb_whos_online_install.cgi?

Hey Quasic, I had a friend who owns UBB 6.04b, and downloaded your Whos Online, but couldn't install it. He asked me too, so I did, but it isn't working. You can only see your self when Whos Online Reports who is online. Its like your the only one on the board, even though there could be 5 people on.

I'm thinking its either its UBB 6.4b, or his server (its a free web host).

Go to the Control Panel - Who's Online Settings, and in "IP Logging Method" choose "Alternate 2".

I have the same problem and I can't figure out why. Any help?

Your UBB requries login so I can't see what the problem is .

You should be able to access it without logging in. I used the Multi Hack Program to install, and I looked over the code too and didn't find anything wrong.

Sorry, I made it so people not registered can check the board. So, can someone help me out here on finding the problem? Blasted who's online is a cool hack, but it sucks when it doesn't work right.

How can I get the online.gif to appear by where it tells you who's logged on?

You can read the Who's Online Style Guide to get that information.

I guess I can use my site as a demo for that, go to http://www.starfleetplatoon.com and you'll see it right in the black box under the SFP Logo called Who's Online:. BTW, the News is also powered by a SSI UBB Hack.

Qasic hope you can help me on this one.

I have installed the WOL 4.0.0 hack, But when I installed it I thought that I was missing some of the files and used my old WOL 3.9 files for the templates. (cp_Vars_whos_online.cgi and whos_online.cgi) I followed the instructions for 4.0.0 but it appears on my forum as UBB 3.9Qa because of the templates. Is there any way I can upgrade to 4.0.0 now even thought I made this mistake?

Install went beautifully! Thanks qasic! Actually, a few times the install stopped saying "Unable to CHMOD..." different files back to 755. So I simply moved the backup files back into the cgi directory and re-ran the install. Had to do this twice, but the third click of "Install" worked flawlessly.

I also used the Whos_Online_Style_Guide.txt to install some style. One note: There were three (out of four) references to online.cgi instead of online.gif. Just thought you might want to know about that!

I cant seem to delete the directory. Says I don't have permission to. I just renamed it though.

Anyway I tried this did everything it told me and the Version still appears in the CP and summary as WOL 3.9Qa.

I think you've fallen victim to one of the problems that auto-install fails on. I'm going to need to fix the problem myself manuall. Please PM/e-mail a login & password to your FTP and UBB so I may fix it.

check the directory

You need to CHmod the ultimatebb_whos_online_install.cgi to 777 not 755.
