Where i can find this hack?

the flower shows up gray because you disabled "show my status to ppl in the net" (or somethin like that)...enable it and it will be green or red....

but the link to it above doesnt work...where can i get it?

The ICQ staus icon always stays grey all my webboard. But If I modified this line:

$this_icq = qq(  );

At:

icq=$this_icq&img=5

To:

icq=$this_icq(And Sign)amp;img=5

It'll work on my webboard.

I don't know why (And Sign) not appear when I use it ??

Also, it's grayed if the user chooses to be invisible to outsiders

oops, just saw someone else post the fix for the AIM spaces. So I'll post a fix for the ICQ caching problem instead.

Find:

aw hell, it's deleted. But it's the line right after if ($this_icq>1) {

Replace with:

$this_icq = qq~
~;

What this does is force javascript to write the line & shove a new random number on the end of it. The IE cache sees the random number and decides that it doesn't have that version and downloads it again. Complicated, but it gets the job done.

i have installed, aim hack, and the avatar and they don't show when i post a topic. what do i need to do, in the registation and on my profile i can select the avatar, but when i post a topic it doesn't show there, what i'm doing wrong?

Try to upload public_topic_page.pl and/or clear your cache.

CLEARLY this hack is NOT finished.

Even when the developer's links are working, the hack does not work without the extensive modifications detailed in various places on this thread.

Even with the modifications, there are still some bugs.

Someone PLEASE move this hack to the beta area. Thank you.

Mr A, the "bug" happens because of Internet Explorer's cache, and it doesn't happen in many places (including here). I can't update the ZIP because it's Philipp's hack, not mine.

You're right, it should be in V6 Mods in Beta forum, but for another reason, that it's not 100% Wordletized ("Hi. Are you there?" and "UIN").

This hack works 100% fine for me & my users. I have tried it with both UBB caching on & off and the results are correct each time.

This did not work for me. I still get only the first word in the screen name. Is there another fix or did I just not copy and paste it right? And just for the record, I refreshed the page, I cleared the cache, I waxed on and not off

1. Tell users NOT to put spaces in their screen name, even if they're supposed to be there.

For this hack I didn't like where the icons were placed which were at the top of each post..If your board has posts, like mine, that are filled with too much clutter and there's no room for the icons without forcing a return and printing another line of empty space, try this..I think it looks much better anyways..

What this will do is place the icons at the bottom of each post and to the right of the "IP: Logged" wording..Plenty of room there, huh??
