So i put my username here fine ,but what about the other admins/mods/megamods...

When i edit a post it worx fine,but when another admin/mod/megamod does it shows there name?????

when using this hack with preview post hack, each preview counts as new edit

Will this work at all with 6.03?
What is the lowest ver. it will work with?
And I am not clear if this will work with post preview or not?

I added the code and for the most part it seems to work....
However I have noticed the following errors

the edit count is not increasing and when editing as an Admin/Mod it does not show as being edited at all?

What do I need to do to correct this

Hey Zorro, great hack. I'm in the process of installing this right now and had an idea that might make things a little easier. Of course, you said you had plans for a version 5,6,7, etc already, so you may have already thought of this. On Version 2 of this, for multiple people, instead of having an if statement with a bunch of 'OR's, maybe we could have a variable file somewhere the hack will look at to see who to hide edit messages for. That way we don't have to edit a cgi file everytime we want to add someone. Thanks for the hack.

Hi there... I'm new on the 'hacks' scene, but this is the second hack I've encountered a few stumbling blocks on...

I'm using UBB version 6.04c, using hack version 4.1, and I'm trying to find edit_wording => "Message edited by:", in vars_wordlets.cgi

but instead, I get...

edit_wording => q~Message edited by:~,

I was trying to do the MegaModerator hack earlier, and came across problems (it wouldn't allow me to register new users, for one), so I don't want to... improvise.

Heh, I always wondered why you didn't have a permanant archive of all hacks? It's so frustrating finding a hack I'm after, only to find it no longer exists, and has a 5 page thread with people saying please put up a working link, followed by a new link which doesn't work.. etc etc.

Probably because there are only like 5 people with v6.0

Edit: did you know your server doesn't support Y2K? for example you registered in 1901 instead of 2001 Also, 6.05 is VERY old and buggy - everyone can crack it.. I suggest you to upgrade.

Spent part of the day in here looking, not sure if I am using the right name for it.

I need an editing mod or hack ASAP. That will stop someone from editing posts old than with a flex setting of say 7 or 14 days. I don't want to turn off editing for everyone, just not allow them to go back to every thread they posted on our site and delete or edit any that are older than what I set it for.

Is there one? Or a way to make this one do that?
