I need help with Mega mod!!!


Have it installed, yet NOBODY can Mod or delete, or anything!!!! Help!

i did this EXACT same thing on my own the day defore you released this and i checked what i did against what you did and we both did the same thing

i was never trying to creat this for taking credit for it i was simopley trying my own skills at it to make it work for me until someone like you released it

but if you look at my post to the topic of Dark"s (the one he released the status/stars hack in)
you will see that with both your way and my way wich are the same and checked and rechecked i get a error

if you would be so kind as to read my post in that topic maybe you can help me

Oh, I never read the stars/status topic. I made this several months ago when the mega-mod hack was released. DT was going to release this in his topic, but he never got around to releasing it. If you want me to help you with an error just give me the url to your topic and I will see what I can do.

I did notice that you had mod,gif. There should be a . where that , is. Well just follow my instructions and see what you missed tell me if that helps.

ok i have a new prob

i got the megamod and stars/status smoothly operating together
but............

My megamods only have their status in the member records in the CP otherwise nothing and they cant enter the CP but the mods can still with limited aces of cource but the megamods cant get in at all

the Megamods also have absolutely no powers or aythoirity at all


whats the deal?

i need HELP!!!!!...........

I just found another problem in the miscelanious settings where you set the ststus stars and member tittles the " member " the post count you set for them to make it to that level i set it at 31 and the old fullmember level box is still up above that but i can only pout 31 in the old box or else if i put it in both when i come back to that setting list in btoh boxes it now says 3131 and if i leave it like that and update it and come back again it goes to 313131 it keeps increasing??????

Well I can not help you with the second part, but I can tell you on the first part check the Mega-Mod thread, there is a fix in there that should revolve around ubb_new_topic.cgi, and ubb_new_reply.cgi.

However, I can help with the second part. You messed up on the installation; one of the steps in cp_vars_misc.pl, for sure. If you look closely, a # goes in front of the first line in the coding that you use to replace with. This # is to get rid of that box that is causing you trouble - Just look closely at the installation instructions and put the # on the right line

i have the VarMemberstatus and Stars installt and the megamod hack and had the problem with the megamod status too, but i have done it simpler.
i just addet in the public_topic_page.pl afer the

if ($user_status eq "$vars_misc{AdminTitle}") {
$user_status = "
Administrator";
}

the megamod staus like the moderator

elsif ($user_status eq "$vars_misc{MegaModeratorTitle}") {
$user_status = "
MegaModerator";
}

and it works fine
