First off i cant find stat [10] thingy in that file nor any fle. And i didnt add that templates twice neither and everything is working perfectly. I never tested the poll thingy yet.

Well I too cannot find the $stat_line[10]= "";
thing. I did the public_forum_summary.pl add it twice thing and I changed the $$ColSpan = 4; to
ColSpan = 5;

I still get the blank spaces next to the news fader and the forum stats hacks. Any idea's how to fix that?

easy, is this hack ok to install on my 6.2.1 ? And does it work ok with phpAccel ?

Anyone seen e@sy lately????? His last response was on the Feb. 7 and he still has not told us if he added LK accelerator fix yet or not.

I really want this hack but I cannot live with the results I get when I try to install it.

I am on UBB 6.2.1 and everytime I install it I get blank boxes at the end of the News Fader and the Stats hack. Can anyone shed any light on this since e@sy is MIA!

No it work's with the accelerator but if you see a topic with the acce it do not count. So you can use it but the Accelerator do not count.

Nope i used the newest one at the time. It had 2 bugs with the polls when they were fully added. One i had to do some of the newtopic edits to the public_polls.pl file and then the bug fix i posted up there.

I see you have released an updated version for 6.2.1 but it still has a bug when you post a new poll it resets the forum post count back to one. What i did to fix this was i did the steps out of new_topic on ubb_polls.cgi i know all the steps don't work for that so i just did the ones that worked and it fixed it.

Does anyone have a fix so that you can use this with the accelerator and version 6.2.1?

I turned my accel off so i could use this version even tho i have his old 0.7e version that works on 6.2.1 I just like this one better becuase of the way it works and stuff.

e@sy, I got a little help from LK, I had to change the ColSpan in public_forum_summary.pl also. That fixed the News Fader, then,
The Statistics hack has a Column Span setting in it, so I had to change that to fix that one.

e@sy, is there any way to get this to count the hits for pages viewed with the accelerator? I really don't want to turn it off if I don't have to.

It just didnt work with the accelerator

When my forum counter (bravenet) showed 25,000 hits in a day, the grand total of hits reported by the accelerator was less then 100 in about 12 hours.

LK If you have a solution for ubb accelerator why don.t you post it? Like a patch .Its not a violation of easys copyright I think if you credit him

I've been wanting the "hit hack" back on my board -- but haven't installed it because of the accelerator issues. I hope that this can be resolved sometime soon!

yes i posted up there what you need to do but here goes again.

just open up ubb_polls.cgi and do all the steps out of ubb_new_topic.cgi that work. There are a couple steps that don't work. Just forget them. Just do the ones that work and your fine.

I did this on my board the day i installed this hack. (about 2-3 weeks ago)

I could really use the hit hack, but due to the excessive bandwidth I use I need the accelerator!
The hit hack is a good way for prospective advertisers to see how busy your board is! It also encourages people who post and don't get many replies, they don't think people are ignoring them!

I've been using this hack for a while - it does work with the accelerator, it just doesn't COUNT .php views, so what you're getting is number of times a post has been viewed for the first time, which isn't bad. However! people could quite easily view a post more than once, therefore the .php version of this would be much appreciated. ANY NEWS ON THIS ??

e@sy just emailed me saying php programming isn't really his thing, there's an alternative to the accelerator itself but don't really want to mess around with that.
Can anybody else provide a patch for this hack to enable it to work with php views? P L E A S E ??

Well, I have 1.07e, not 3.01... However, my version is at https://www.ubbdev.com/columns/lk/treffer1_07e.txt .

I'm not sure if the Text file is updated, tho.

LK can we use yours on top of e@sy's ?? Do we have to get rid of easy's completely to use yours or can we modify easy's a bit so it works with php (assume yours does work with php?).
Don't want to have to start from scratch again.

Hit hack 1.07e has a totally different structure, you have to remove 3.01.

I have never tried 3.01, but I think it shows the amount of times someone visited a forum. This one only shows it for threads.

Use WOL for CGI for 6.1 instructions ONLY for ubb_forum_summary.cgi/ubb_forum.cgi, ONLY when it mentions that line. Then remove that line and add after my line.

The hack of LK is a earlier one of me. You cannot do it on top. There are different way's to count the click's. With LK's help i have make changes on the PHP - problem and now it count. But it will not show on the forum page. Give me the next night or two and i have an update.

QUESTION: I installed the hack and everything seems to be working ok...just the Hit's title on the column doesn't seem to be showing up. Was there something I did wrong?

I thought maybe it had something to do with the wordlets mod.

Is this correct?

Not sure why it's not showing up properly...please advise!

hmmm i used the hit hack but now it adds a column..

in the forum summary but i got all kinds of hacks installed so it adds a black column in the news fader and statistics and some other things..

So if i aint hack the forum_summary.. is this problem solved then?

Ok...solved my own problem.
Views didn't show up because when I manually updated vars_wordlets_mods.cgi it TOTALLY hiccupped! So...I had to rip everything out and reinstall the mods wordlets using Qasic's auto install thingee! Really helped! Thanks Qasic! Now to get those stat files redone!

have anyone get this display correctly if you have bevel hack installed prior? I got it count ok but the display kinda wacky.

I finally decided to try this hack but i have a problem with it

first of i installed a fresh copy of the hack posted by LK the new one 1.07e ( wich is old )

I have installed lot's and lot's of hack but the problem is mainly with Hypercell i think....

Now the layout is perfect the problem is that the count is going a bit crazy.

let me explain if i click on a hypercell on the table part of it without tuching the link in forum forum_summary.pl i get a perfect count of 1 wich is perfect !

If i click on the same hypercell but this time by clicking on the actual link in the table the i get a count of 2 instead of 1 !?!?!?

the funniest thing is if a turn the hypercell of the 2 different count swap positions !!

Can someone please help me out?

I simply skept this part in

ubb_forum.cgi and ubb_forum_summary.cgi hope is ok.....

I got mixed up with so many posts . Can anyone tell me if I can install this hack proper in order to work with ubb accelerator?
And the next question is where can I find specific instructions to install it?
