You used rn instead of \r\n. Copy & paste from the readme please, and make sure wrap is off.

LK, WE Have a problem with the multihack file!!!!!!

We are telling it to add $spellcheck_button after all $preview_button 's, well this includes the one that sets the preview button at the top of the file.

it ends up like this:

[code][/code]We are gonna have to look for more than just $preview_button to make it unique. Let me know if you want me to fix this!

Anything is possible, but why when you have a nice big button would you want that?

Basically for where ever you want the link, (public_edit_post.pl, public_pm_form.pl, public_polls.pl, public_new_reply_form.pl, and/or public_new_topic_form.pl)

Do this:
Find:
Code
[/code]Below it add:(THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL CODE, JUST an EXAMPLE!, read the comment about http text!)

Code
</pre></div></div>For Example: in public_new_topic form.pl<br>Find:<br><br><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Code</div><div class="ubbcode-body ubbcode-pre" ><pre>
Below it add:
[code]
To delete the button, just remove the $spellcheck_button, course by doing this you disable the ability to turn it on and off in the CP. A better way would be to change the my $spellcheck_button code and then move the $spellcheck_button to under $is_ubb stuff, if you can figure out how to change the code there.
Now I have not tested this, but it should work.

Hey LK, I think this one is ready for final smile , haven't seen any bugs, one suggestion though, wordletize the width=400 height=500 settings so installers can change them to thier preference via the CP

SNAFU, I forgot the spellcheck code was in there twice in ubb_edit_post.pl, I only added the new stuff to one of them, so editing posts were not working, its fine now that I fixed my blunder.

You don't have to, but you should: you can set the width/height in the CP.

Okay. First I'm gonna post my question, then I'm going to read through this messy thread to see if my answer is in there already.

I've installed the Spellcheck Hack twice now and I keep getting the exact same error. The hack functions fine except for one simple thing. The button is fubar'ed laugh

[Linked Image]

See... It doesn't seem to list anything on the button that would allow a user to identify what it's function is.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction to solve this with the limited information I've supplied?

When replying to a private message, the spell check does not work. You get a Javascript error in IE and in Netscape, nothing happens...at least while using the "old" instructions prior to the March edit...

In IE I see this:
Error: 'document.replier.topic_subject_value' is not an object

OK I've set something up in our development area and this uses the new instructions and the same thing happens. I believe you have to be logged in so I'm giving you a test username/password. Here\'s the link to the reply for the PM. UserName: rivadan2 password: qqqqq

Try the spell check and you see the error...

Hi, I tried to do what you said. And on public_new_topic_form.pl it worked. But I really don't know what it has to become on public_polls.pl etc. (I'm talking about the next line:)

Code
[/code]======================
You said to find this:

Code
</pre></div></div>and after that add this:<br><br><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Code</div><div class="ubbcode-body ubbcode-pre" ><pre>
but if you add this:

Code
</pre></div></div>(delete the "<br>" before it and add "</font></font>" after it)<br><br>and then delete "</font></font>" after<br><br>[code]
You get the same font as:

HTML is not enabled.
UBB Code is enabled.

and the spellcheck word will be right under it smile

I'm trying to use the Multihack, and it tells me I need file called cp_modaddon.cgi

I don't have that file.

Anyone know where I can find it?

Thanks.

Okay, I believe I installed the Spellcheck hack successfully, but I do have one more question.

It does not automatically paste the corrected text back in the post, et al, is that correct?

I have a separate question. I installed the cp_modaddon.cgi -- and it shows in the CP pulldown as "Modification Settings."

When I go into that, I get this error message:

[code][/code]Could someone please help me figure out the error?

I'd also like to know the purpose of this hack. laugh

As always, thanks!
