This is an editted version of the Ultimate edit hack originally made by "Scud Muffin". DESCRIPTION: Removes the edit line under postings for special members, admins and / or mods, That's all it does. I tested version 3 and 4 on 6.2.1 and they worked fine! Here's a link in case anyone wants it. Bandit

I'd like to install this Hack, but I'd like it to be in effect for every Member of my board, regardless if Admin, Mod or Member.
Is there a Ultimate Edit Hack that does all what this Hack does but for every Member?

Look in your control panel under Miscellaneous Settings there is an option to have the edit by tag turned off for everyone. I hope that helps you.

I didn't ask how to turn it off, I know know to turn it off. I want that this Hack that it will be in effect for every User, regardless if Member, Moderator or Admin, but that the Edit line is looking nice and small and with the time for every body. Right now there are 4 direfferent choices for this hack, I just wanted to know which on does it for every member and if it doesn't if there is another edit hack that does all this?

To be honest, I have no idea what you were just talking about. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants this Hack to be working for any User, so why not make the Hack so all Users edit lines appear the same way? Could somebody do that?

Domain, Thats what I gave you!
The instructions above will apply to all users, this will use timecolor for edit and use size one font, FOR ALL USERS!!! By default, the edit line is already the same for all users, so, all this will really do is change the font color to use timecolor (from your styles template).
The hack is intended to prevent multiple edit lines and to remove edit lines for some users. If you want them removed for all users, then turn it off as suggested above, if you want your edit lines to be size 1 font using the timecolor, do the steps I gave you, if you want something else, then you need to explain yourself better.

MrStormyNights, I made the changes that you suggested. But now I'm having problems with multiple edit lines for regular members. The first edit line remains as code.(because of the html) The way I had it removed the multiple edit lines, just didn't change the color. I don't know if I screwed up or if there is a problem with the code. Did you have this problem on your board? Bandit

Bandit, it is working fine on my board, what I presume is happening to you is the the edit lines that were there before you made the change use "small" for font size, and the new code looks for "font size" to replace it.
Are you getting more than 2 edit lines, if so then this is not the case.
If you delete the first edit line when you edit the post it should take care of itself afterwords if you are only getting 2.
Now maybe I am wrong about the preventing multiple lines code, I am no perl/cgi wiz, I read code below as the code to do the substitution, maybe they changed the code in 6.2 to prevent multiple edit lines and if so, then your code is fine for that, it just wont do the color part as you said?

Bandit Could you pleas add this to your Version. This hack gives the admin and Moderator the ability not to place the edit line at the end of the edited post by clicking a check box under the close topic check box. The file is in http://66.113.218.51/edit_wording.zip
