I wou;d've tested for ya, but I'm debugging mines.. Hehe, some hack made me get some errors I think  Though I don't really know why it's so bad adding more quotes than one..

Well, I put it in my 6.2.1.1 board and it did indeed prevent double quotes. If a post had a quote in it and I clicked on the quote icon it would just sit there, as soon as I uploaded the old file it let me do it...not quite the effect I was looking for.

I just had one of those 'what in the hfil was i thinking' moments.
I just updated the coding which i tested on a fresh 6.2.1.1. I made this, because i had some members complain about how the quoting feature would get out of hand because it would just pile ontop of itself to much.

Nice hack, but the quote and code block hack wont work after putting in this one..
Not that it is a big loss or something lol

I installed the quote block first then this hack and now it works fine.

It is not a bug. It's the designed behavior. If all it does is to not add the previous post's [quote][/quote] in reply w/quote (like old versions), it doesn't do it so good. It also removes it from Edit Post, if someone did it on purpose. Try the following: Open ubb_new_reply.cgi. Find: [/code]Remove the #.
If it removes TWO quotes inside a reply (that's what I think it does :p ), replace the line above with:[code]

I thought I would bump this since I have people asking me how to stop the quote pyramids on 6.3.1 and this seems to do it.
