The purpose of this hack is to divorce the Private Message page from the "my profile" page. It will also create a PM link in the header.

The hack can be downloaded from HERE .

To download, move your cursor to the word HERE above, click on the RIGHT mouse button, and Save Target As.

Update:
- Includes send PM button which allows PM Submit to any Member Name directly from the PM page (credit is given to AmyKhar).
- Works with Jordo's PmSys Hack
- Tested on UBB 6.1.0.2 release
- Fixed reload-page and invalid member-output, 11/3/01 by XChrome

Do you have a demo, this Pm things confuses me, I have the Syspm installed from Jordo

No demo is needed. It's very self-explainatory. Let me elaborate here: The UBB "My profile" consists of 2 parts: "my profile" on top, and "Private Message" at the bottom. Most of the time, when you access the PMs, you don't need to load the top part; it's taking up space and bandwidth. This hack will separate the 2 parts. In addition, it adds a "PM Submit" button, so that you can send PM to any member name directly from the PM Link.

Your ultimatebb.cgi was not hacked correctly or you might have the old hack. Re-download the zip file and re-hack.

I have just re-hacked my files and I have used the files from the first posting in this thread.

I recieve the same error message again!

That file was updated this morning. Have you re-downloaded it?

My download was just one hour ago.

The file "public_my_pm.pl" was bad. My apology.

Please re-download the zipped file HERE .

If you have already hacked it before and got the error, all you need to do now is to replace the file public_my_pm.pl.

To send PM, just fill in the text box with member name (not number) and click submit.

I guess I can put in some wordings later.

Hi, nice hack, but the reload in ubb_getnumber.cgi is bad. My suggestion (after installing the hack):

Fixing:
reload-page
invalid member-output

(backup your files before hacking!)


With this fix, the PM form needs no reload-page to appear.

Does this works with ubb 6.1.0.3? I can't find
