Has to be an NT problem, I don't have access to NT machines so I'm only limited to testing on Iplanet/Solaris and Apache/Linux servers.
For some reason the zone is not correct. Looks like users will have to put in zone names manually in the new fix.
I'll start on a fix soon.
Thanks

w00t Thanks for updating for 6.1! BTW You need to update the PHP include instructions so that it reads lt.cgi instead of ultimatebb.cgi?latest_threadsOh, and lt_reset.cgi isn't in the ZIP! [ 10-28-2001: Message edited by: BT ]

Great, It works a treat! Just one thing how do I get rid of the line break between threads? http://www.jonspage.co.uk/Splat/index.shtml I have little room there and I would rather they were closer. Any ideas, thanks. Jon

Just look for the obvious HTML output in the CGI and it's easy from there..

v1.2.3. is now available. - NT debug zone fix
- Summary length option
- Display space option
Small update, but things are progressing. NT users please leave me feedback if your Latest_threads run with or without problems. In order for me to continue the development of LT, I need to make sure that no one has anymore bugs. Thanks DjCasual [ 10-30-2001: Message edited by: djcasual ]

Thanks for looking into that BT, everything is fixed now. I notice you use PHP on your server, can you verify that the PHP includes work? Thanks

Yes a lot of this new code is a lot more cleaner than the v6.0x versions of LT. I'm glad to hear it's working out for you. Are you using the $debug_zone option? What ever happened to that guy Casper? He was really into getting his LT up and now he's ghost! Ohh well. Thanks Casual

does anyone use this on their actual forums? or just on a portal or intro page, leading to their forums?
(i've been hopin, for close to a year now, that someone would develop a way that i could list the 5-10 most recent threads in a table on [atleast] my forum summary page)
not thru ssi, not thru asp... just some good ole fashioned, home cooked cgi and html.

hehe....
Yeah your debug_zone worked. Thanks.
It also worked without the debug and chache turned off.
One more "bug" for option 11 in ubb_latest_threads.cgi
<blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial">code: Should be.... Thanks again. It works!

drknight, I tried doing this for you in the past but had no luck. In order for it to work I would have to incorporate the entire code in to ultimatebb.cgi. This means I would have to re-write a lot of the code. If I ever find an easy solution I'll let you know. Sorry Casual

heya dj... thanks for the attempt! ... i (in my infinite stupidity) actually tried combining the active topics cgi with the ultimatebb.cgi file once (when 6.0 was new). the results were... less than desired, to say the least. anyway, thanks for tryin.

esplain!
... or, wait, lemme try first, then you :)
in the template, i just do:
<blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial">code: and, i guess the "?" would be... active topics.cgi? or... something that i'd get after i install the rest of this latest threads code? ... ...or something? and... actually, if its that simple, it'd be even better if i could add it into the template's forum header, so that the 5 most recent topics would appear like where ubbdev's "sidebar" appears

Sorry, I never thought about the international community. I'll have to look into it some more. Please give me an example of German Date/Time format. Thanks Sorry but you can't server side include (SSI) into PERL. Maybe 'DO' command, but I'll have to test. Thanks Casual

straight from Cal : a sub routine : and the way to call it: but then you might need to export to a static file first since I didn't try. [ 11-14-2001: Message edited by: Chuck ]

...soo.... many... foreign concepts... ...head... hurting... "open(F,$file) or die $!;" thats terrible! and all the profanity is really unnecessary! i appreciate the help chuck n'dj, but... this is really beyond me. i tried messing with it last night. i tried the file include, then tried the file exec (because "includes" can't do cgi scripts, right?). i just placed the "
