But: I tried all hints in this thread and still have problems with WOL and this hack installed. For some members it doesnt show WOL at all or just sometimes.
Anything new ?

OUCH, I noticed that after I rebuilt the forum stats that my private forums weren't private anymore. When I opened vars_forums.cgi I found that the field containing "private", "hidden" or "allreg&allreg" was empty. I had to hand enter that in the vars file to get the foums working properly.
Do any of you wonderful people know which file I must have hacked incorrectly to cause this behavior?

I was finally just able to sit down and add this to my board and try the fixes. Yes, the WOL thing is still an issue, only if a person isn't logged in... Xpert, I don't see what you are talking about? I can rebuild my forums fine and they stay hidden... Did this show up before or after your last post with your potential fix in it? I haven't tried to add that fix yet. If it's after I'd tend to believe that maybe it was your fix that broke it?  Then again... I'm not 100% certain. I don't have any posts in any of the forums that I've created to test with so therefore a rebuild really doesn't do much, so that may be why I don't get your problem. But, hopefully it gives you a starting point.  Going to head back into the fray and test some more. Z

Hmm, no still a bunch of problems with rebuilding stats even after adding the fixes.  Going to recheck my code this weekend and see if I goofed somewhere. Once I added some posts I had to rebuild again and it kept giving errors. Z

Well, I'll just upgrade the board to 6.2 and give up on this hack. I hope that this gets sorted if it's going to be available for 6.2 and thanks for trying.

well if you don't use WOL then there's no problem... I think the various tweaks posted here now fix the rebuild forum stats problem

Pumpkin, if you actually bothered to READ the posts you would know that the majority of the posts are from people who HAVE THE WHOIS ONLINE HACK INSTALLED. I would suggest that you don't tell people to not use the whois online hack. As if you had bothered keeping up with what info pop have STATED, you would know that 6.2 of ubb is having the whois online hack included. Also keep your unhelpfull uninformed opinions off message boards. Keep it for your friends who are probably as uninformed as you.
Not impressed with wantabes.

oh why thank you ), before you posted your nice comment, which I think is a sign of me paying attention to it... you'd have also seen that I was the first to report the rebuild problems, and I suggested (tho not very clearly) a couple ways to fix it... I know that most people use WOL, including me... but not everyone does, and I wanted to make sure that people understood that it does work without WOL  peace? I am about to set up a website with the UBB. But I'd like to hide my administrators and moderators forums from the beginning.
@easy, is there any chance you will try to continue with this module for version 6.2 once it is released? It would help a lot. I think I'm not the only one who would like to see that.

hi easy, can you also patch the who is online to..: -------------------------------------------------- if someone "P1" is looking at a hidden forum "asd" and the logged in person "P3" can view that specific "asd" forum then show the forum name and the topics name. (well the current does this. allright. but it has a bug.) -------------------------------------------------- if someone "P1" is looking at a hidden forum "asd", and if the logged in person "P2" can NOT view that specific "asd" forum, then show the forum name as $vars_wordlets_mods('whos_online_hidden_forum')and the topics name as $vars_wordlets_mods('whos_online_hidden_topic')(well the current version just shows everything) and of course new additions to vars_wordlets_mods are needed  -------------------------------------------------- hey, isn't this a great idea? Actually, I started playing with it on 6.2 last night, since it looks like 6.1 version isn't happening with WOL hack. After a couple hours of digging around and comparing code. I gave up. 6.2 looks to have changed quite a bit and I don't know the code well enough to make it happen. Think I'll just go to 6.2 and stick to private forums for now and give up on hidden part. They stated on one of the info forums that hidden forums was on a todo list for UBB 6.3 or 6.4.  Guess I'll wait. If anyone does get this up and running on 6.2 please let us know! Z
