No, no, heh. The hack that changes colors on mouseover is the Hypercells hack. This hack gives table cells a bevel look, kind of 3D like.

Nice but it breaks the stock style option of:

Outside borders visible only.

It frames everything. I prefer just the outside as the stock option displays.

Blast! Now you've made me wish I had designed the new Se7enet with a bevel instead of flat, because this is so freakin cool but it just won't match the new site design...

When I added the bevel colors all went well, till I tried to remove them and got the message that I didn't complete all required fields. The names are in blue in the style template in the CP but it wants me to complete them anyway.

I removed the settings manually via FTP but why would it act like that? could MyStyle have something to do with it?

Well, I did what you said LK and sure enough I didn't get that error, but it turned the light and dark bevels white.

That's one really nice thing about using EditPlus...it automatically creates a .bak file for every file you edit.

Hmmm, I never really tested turning it off. shocked

Oh, and to use it on just regular html tables all you need to do really is add:

bordercolordark="lightcolor" bordercolorlight="darkcolor"

in the tags. Remember to put border="1" also, if you want a thicker bevel make the border number higher. The lightcolor is in the dark field because thats what make it look bevelled. wink

I prefer this option too...but think the hack is pretty cool -- Any middle ground?? So it only applies to the outside borders??

the hack still works with that option set, but when you have that option set, it will look like there is borders on.

How about an on/off setting in the CP? Throw an If or an Else here and there and BLAM! It kinda tweaked my gradient bars that I seem to have everywhere but I can see some great ways to use this.

Yeah but it doesnt really regard the option...What would I change to make it not draw the inside borders?

Well, quite bluntly, it can't be done with the method I use in this hack. Because it draws borders around each cell to make it look beveled, the is no setting that allows you to only do it around the outside of the table. Sorry.

That hack really does look good on your board. I have no idea what it will look like on mine, but I'll backup my files before trying it. Brilliant idea Bookie .
