Alright, this is very untested so please let me know if it does or doesn't work, but i think it should. What this script does is print a logged in user's public name to the site, in php. If it's right, it'll work on all versions of UBB6. Please let me know. Thanks! Donwload Unavailable, sorry. NOTE: If your version of php is older than 4.1.0, replace the $_COOKIE with $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS

Is there anything that will do the same trick (show the log in on a non-UBB page) with a SSI on an .shtml page?

Like this one raiyan I may use it in the ubbportal v1 I am working on WDFA, you might check Jamin's SSI for UBB headers in the template forum.

Allen ....
The one on http://www.plastiqueweb.com/core/html/index.shtml accomplishes the same thing and you don't have to have PHP installed.

I also have that login implemented on my site. It is just basic javascript, the goal is to come up with a way to implement a login for the entire site. That would be great and im sure very hard to accomplish. If you would like I could work up the script for anyone who has a 6.xx+ board. Its actually quite simple.

Isn't UBBPortal in PHP?
Some users may not have javascript enabled, so this would be beneficial.
And i'm taking that it works for you guys?

UBBPortal will be entirely Perl.
UBB.classic: Love it or hate it, it was mine.

That makes sense since PHP is optional in UBB. And I for one appreciate it.

I would, if it worked for 6.2.
