What it does:
Adds an option to Add A New Member from the Control Panel. Admins may register new users, even when registration is closed.

Hi jordo. I'm having a small problem. I tried to register a member through the CP, and the login name was agent_orange and the member number was 63.

So when I go to view/edit member records, the first 62 members are displayed fine, then where 62 should be, I get the error:

No profile found for 00000063user agent_orange

Why? confused

Excellent Jordo - though I did have a prob when I made my first reg with this.

I had it that approval was needed - and the registration I did got lost somewhere - LOL. But turned off registration completely as well as need for approval - tried again - worked like a charm smile

Thanks muchly - as this is PERFECT for my needs...

Jordo
There is a bug in the code this code
&AppendFileAsString("$vars_config{MembersPath}/memberslist.cgi", "$in{user_name}|!!|$next_numbern");

should be
&AppendFileAsString("$vars_config{MembersPath}/memberslist.cgi", "n $in{user_name}|!!|$next_number ");
ZoneX
I had the same problem befor I tchange the code. To correct the problem just download the file memberslist.cgi and in this file you will find an entry that sayes something like this
Wwww|!!|00000033wwwww|!!|00000034

Pres enter to make it look like this
Wwww|!!|00000033
wwwww|!!|00000034
And thin upload the file
The hack works fine if the admin is the only one how regester the user and the reg. is closed

wwb95 - ill look into that when i have a chance. some people have memberlists (previous to installing this hack) that have trailing newlines while others dont. not sure what exactly is up with that, but like i said ill look into it.

For some reason now I get:

Undefined subroutine &main::reg_new_user called at cp.cgi line 468.

When I go to add a new user.

Apparently so, I was able to install it without a hitch on my board. (6.3.1.1)

Sorry if I'm a little slow on the kudos, but great hack! laugh
