This is an update of the hack by Mastermind and ELY. The instructions are based on Allen's XHTML transitional templates. If you don't use the XHTML templates, the code you look for may be slightly different. This has been tested on 6.0.1.2 by myself and others and seems to be bug-free now.

I installed this hack, and though it seems to work fine when you see it in the control panel and registration.

But I just discovered that when I try to delete, move, or close a topic all I get is this error:

Can't obtain exclusive lock: Bad file descriptor at /d01/sec/s19/a0006nid/cgi-bin/ubb/ubb_lib_files.cgi line 565.


Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem.

I know it has to be this hack, because it is the only hack that I have installed that changes code in ubb_lib_files.cgi

I added onto this hack a bit by making it have 8 custom fields instead of 4, which the description said you could do. Could this have affected it?

Could somebody tell me what's going on, and how to fix it?!

UltimateDBZ, check your file permissions. The file in the erorr message should be chmod 755

Will do, thanks for the offer. We changed servers recently and I forgot to post the new link in this thread I'll be working on MHK files for all my hacks this weekend for those that want them.
