So can I actually switch it on in my control panel? If so, I can't seem to find the area to do this..

does anyone know how to modify this code so that if noone replies it will say
'by: no one'
the reason i want this is because adding the last reply makes the table row larger than the rows of posts with no replies. i want the rows to be all equal spacing.

I haven't tested this but I think where the code says: [/code]Inside the "" you can add any code or text there such as "No Replies Yet", "Still Waiting For Replies", "Lonely In Here"...Well, you get the point. :D
Seriously however, try adding something inside the quotes such as above and see if that works for threads with no replies. :)
Example would be:

Update: It works perfectly. Currently I have no replies as, "No Replies...So Lonely. *Sniff*".

thanks! one thing though. the By: No One is on the same line as the date and time. how do i get it to move down to the next line?

Yup, that's one of the ways...Nicely done.  You can disgard the "" since there is no link involved.
