First I must give congrats as this hack rocks. Good Job. Although now I do have a question. When an IM is sent, why do I get it twice for each time sent?

Try to remove [code][/code]or whatever from public_common.pl, and tell me if it worked.

hi LK
can this hack, the chat hack, and the thinking clock hack all work together under the accelerator as i have a error when i use the accelerator
i can only use the link for chat or im once before it gives me a cgi wrap error saying ultimatebb.cgi is missing and to fix it for one use again only is to close browser and clear cache
but before i updated the two hacks with your recent releases i had a java script error

isn't there a ultimatebb.cgi hack?? Cause, when i use php accelerator, i get an error, so i need the cgi hack for it..
is this possible in any way??

Hey LK, one of the lines of codes you point to in ubb_lib_files.cgi has this line in it...
if (-e "$_[0]") {
but mine (and the virgin 6.3.0. file) has this around line 612...
if (&FileExists($_[0])) {
Everything else seems to match. Why are they different, and is it something that I need to fix?

What am I doing wrong? Everything goes fine. I can send messages, but when I get one, there is no reply button. Just an "OK" button. And also, it seems as if the IM doesn't appear until you click on something, a forum or thread or link... if you're just lurking on the main forum page, nothing happens. Help?

Kel, zygote is right. There is no 'reply' button, you'll have to message him thru "IM" url. And you can't lurk, because then no page will load (makes sense?  ), so it can't get IMs. However, I have just found a better way to do it. (MUCH better) As soon as I figure the best way to do it, the files will be updated

Okay, ZIP/MHK files updated Unhack ubb_lib_files.cgi and ultimatebb.php. Rehack public_common.pl and cp_modaddon.cgi. Re-upload ubb_msg.cgi. Upload ubb_checkmsg.cgi.

AND one more hack that stopped breaking the cache The best way to do it for chat mod and hit hack is the one brett uses, but I'm not gonna steal ideas (unless he agrees? )

Maybe this hack has al lot more potential. The popup could be an other window, not a grey java-popup but a nice html/dhtml popup with an image or even sound. Is it realy pops up without refresh? It would be awesome when the reciever could reply.

Variables, it does refresh, just not your page, but a "hidden" page (width, height and border are 0)

O, now i see how this works..very smart LK. In the PM inbox, the grey popup was (in our case) replaced by a sound "You have new mail", so i think with an adjustment somewhere it could popup everything you want, am i correct?
