Mostly likely I won't find any help, do I ever.. Anyways, I deleted all my forums folders, and the forumindex.cgi's, and made all new forums.. Now I was having this problem even before I did that..

What happens is I try to post a topic, and after it post and it says

"Thank you for posting, we are now returning you to the forum page"

if you dont want to wait click here

Well the next page I get is

Blank white screen with this??

Not Found
The requested URL /ubbhhh/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000001.html was not found on this server.

Any ideas why??

All forum folders are CHMOD to 777, none have maximum security or passwords, and all registered users can post and reply.. So it's not the settings..

I'm also a newbie at UBB but know cgi-bin

I noticed when I did a post (I'm tester7 BTW) that it tried to send me here
http://www.kaost.com/ubbhhh/ubb/Forum14/HTML/000001.html

which gave me a 404. the correct url should look closer to this
http://www.kaost.com/ubbhhh/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi?action=get_topic&Forum14/HTML/000001.html

*notice the cgi-bin and Ultimate.cgi*
This gave me a blank page, but it was not a 404...in fact just by reading the code I could tell it was a generated page.

I hope this helps and sorry it's so little, I am tired and need to sleep smile confused

Deleting forums in v5 is bad... very bad. Not sure where to even start to rebuild some forums back in cartoon.

In looking again, it seems it is working... are you still having problems?

I would guess that your paths are off. Your best bet would be to check the cp.cgi files

Primary Settings/Configuration Settings/

Absolute Path: CGI Directory

and

URL: CGI Directory

Those seem to be the ones that most likely are off.

no it still doesn't work.. I really need desperate help.. I don't know where to start. If someone "Repectable" can help I'd be more than happy to give CP and FTP access to maybe see if they can just easily pin point the problem..

Without this fixed I have no board.. frown

cal busta rhyme at tha hip hop hangout smile

Nice site cartoon, you have some table alignment problems in your forumdisplay.cgi, it looks like you have the top and bottom tables at 95% and the middle one @ 98-99%
