i would like to click on the forum name and have it go to a friends ubb instead of a forum on mine...
appreciate any help thanks...

Under normal circumstances, I don't think that's possible, simply because that's not the way UBB is intended to work...
However, I'm guessing you could *probably* open public_forum_summary.pl (template), and hard-code a forum row into it that would link to your friend's board. It wouldn't technically be a forum, but you could make it look convincing enough for most people, I think.
