When a topic is posted "new topic" it just doesnt show up on the first page ex: last post or the pic..ex:login page.
The light bulb on the left always stays lit also regardless of if I have seen all the posts inside or what have ya.
What in the world would cause this and which pl to edit?

For the 2nd problem (ur light bulbs always being lit) clear ur cookies in ur preferences. Not too sure about the first problem, what hack had you installed just before this started happening?

It's the cookies that do this. Just get rid of all your cookies and there won't be that problem.
