i know that we can't do cgi scripting because version 6 generates on the fly, but...

how, then, do i include a .htm file (a menu of headlines) that gets changed multiple times during the day to a particular forum.

the file won't be inside my cgi-bin where UBB is, but it's on the same server.

i've been researching for about two hours now and all i've discovered is that i'm confrused.

You can use SSI. Unless you have tried that...

thanks - i also need to know how to do this. i know i need to use an SSI - the question is HOW????

i'm using IIS 5.0 and i don't know what the SYNTAX is to include a file from within a .cgi or .pl extension - i don't even think IIS parses these files. so that leaves me to believe that the perl interpreter is going to have to include the .htm file and i don't know how to do that.

Please help a friend in need =)
