Hi!

I run a ubb 6.05 and really like it.

ive added many hacks from here, including WOL, custom avatars,custom ranks,newsfader 2.1 and lots more.

After I got ALL these installed i found the Compact headers/footers template in the UBBdev database area.

I really want to use the compact headers but there are so many pages that have to be hacked manually and my pages have changed so much from what the docs for this hack indicate that this is virtually impossible for me to hack by hand.

I figure the EASIEST way would be to remove all the hacks i installed so that I am using an original 6.05 , install the custom headers hack and THEN reinstall all my original hacks.

My ubb currently has about 14,000 members and I am very worried about screwing things up.

Can anyone give me some tips on the best way I can go about doing this? Any known pitfalls I should be aware of so I can avoid them?

Specifically, I plan on overwriting the files in

ubbcgi: all files (but no subfolders)
ubbnoncgi/Templates: all files

Are there any files I should NOT overwrite?

So does this mean you cant find the code these hacks tell you to find? So you can't install this hack?

Files you SHOULDNT overwrite: Var files.

But why do you need to start over for the custom header??? You shouldn't have any problem installing the header with those hacks.
