confused

After the installation of Ultimate Bulletin BoardTM 6.05 I had some technical problems. InfoPOP helped worked them out. An email I received from Charles details the need of a new hosting company, any suggestions?

----------------------------------------------
Infopop as worked on this for a while and have come to the conclusion that Hypermart is altering the HTML being produced by the UBB.
To maintain compatability with REALLY old browsers, you have to 'comment out' the source of Javascripts within the page.

The open HTML comment tag was being transformed into part of the HTML body tag by Hypermart.

This is very unusual, as Hypermart does not normally alter the HTML produced on paid accounts.

We've uploaded a modified copy of the template (public_common) that contains the Javascript for the instant Graemlins and UBB Code. That appears to have stopped the errors while sending PMs, replying (with and without quote) and creating new topics.

I would strongly advise seeking out a new host.

SO a new host is what I will be looking for.
Thanks for all your patients!

Ok are you looking for a free server or a paid server? Not many free servers around but alot of good paid ones.

As cheap as possible, however must be able to support the forums.
We are a nonprofit group so the expense is at our members hands.

I use appliedi.net. It is a win2000 server. You will need to request the host to change the file permissions to be changed for you.
