Flaming is when someone insults someone else for asking simple/easy questions. Usually when the first person is advanced in the field and the second person is a newbie and just wanting to learn, or when the same question keeps getting asked over and over again and people just get annoyed and respond with curt remarks, stuff like that.
This forum was created because too many newbies were asking too many simple questions and getting griped at in other forums.
