Hi all. I'm posting this on behalf of a non-technical friend of mine that has version 6.0 (Beta 7.9 if that means anything).
The mail server is RaidenMailD. It's a small mail server that runs on a Windows box. It will run fine for weeks. But soon as you enable the mail feature it will crash the mail server shortly after.
I can't figure anything out and I don't know if it's the mail server or the UBB that is causing it.
Both the UBB and the mail server run on the same pc running Windows 2K Server. I have installed the same setup on another box with different hardware with the same problems.
I've tried putting in the actuall IP address instead of the smtp address with no luck.
I don't have any other mail server software to try to see which program is causing the problem.
I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this or not.

Tell the friend to upgrade to the latest release.
That beta is almost a year old. It's unstable, insecure, and buggy.
UBB.classic: Love it or hate it, it was mine.

Holy cow! I didn't realilize that I was dealing with a year old peice of software.  I see now that upgrading to a new version would remedy the problem. Thanks!!!
