UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? Removing the $mainbuttons (more than 1 file??)

I edited the $MainButtons in ubb_lib.cgi to look like:

$MainButtons = qq! !;

BUT I am still getting the links at the top for my profile | register | search, etc..

Do I need to edit another file? I have searched and always the answer is ubb_lib.cgi is the only file to edit. I cleared my cache. etc. Help plz.

I have deleted the sub to the bare bones and still the links appear. this is what I got:

sub MainButtonOptions {
$MainButtons = qq! !;
} # end mainbuttonoptions

It has to be coming from somewhere else doesnt it? Am I just missing something here? Someone please take me by the hand and show me what Im missing. Thanks in advance!

heh, it just cant magically appear. where is it coming from. I pasted code directly from my ubb_lib.cgi file. Its not there.

Did you upload it to the correct directory?

Also, maybe you have this sub twice in that file. That's why I told you to send me your ubb_lib

ok, to whoever wants to do this in the future, clear you **UBB CACHE** not your browser cache like was doing. Doh!!

Basically I want the top of my UBB empty until it gets to the hello line. Can someome point me to the files I need to edit other than the ubb_lib.cgi?

public_common.pl. &set_page_elements, don't remove the whole sub but many vars are there
