Hi all,

I'm running 6.1.0.3 with a mess of hacks. I already know by reading, I will have to rehack, no problem;

1. I was wondering if I can install 6.20 full and copy over my forums, members, msgs, etc or do I have to do the upgrade.

2. If I have to do the upgrade, do I need to uninstall the hacks first?

3. When upgrading, I run several hacks like stats hack and hit counter; will I be able to retain the hits count and stats, either or both?

1. You can do that if you want to loose all your member and forum info.

2. If you have a hack that adds a extra field to the profile you'll need to get rid of it using a tool avaiable in the Members Area.

3. Don't think so if it's a UBB hack.

I did a fine upgrade from a well-hacked UBB 6.1.0.3 - UBB 6.2.0 with no probs except having to remove extra profile fields.

You don't really "leave" any hacks, they are going to get over written. The problem is the extra fields written in the members files by the previous hacks.

This makes it easier so I don't have to "remove" them I assumn then I just run the tool, remove extra fields. Upgrade and rehack anything I may want.

Sounds simple enough.
