hi everybody , i was wondering if someone could tell me how to grant a user administrative rights without access to the cp.cgi.... i really need it urgently .... any suggestion is most appreciated vik

What version of UBB? If you mean that you don't want the people to be able to access the CP, you could install the 'Mega Mod' hack and let them moderate all forums...

what i want is to give ppl full rights on the forum board and them to show up as admins but they should not be able to access the cp.cgi does the megamod hack do that thanks for the help appreciated vik

Not that I know off , I think you have to make them admin and they still have CP access , do they know about the CP ? if not just don't tell them :rolleyes:

If you're using Apache, you may be able to password-protect cp.cgi with an .htaccess file. Here's an example:[code][/code]
