At my test board, I believe I've installed 11 hacks to date. I think they are the mods_wordlets, hypercells, spell check, PM InBox, Custom Rank/Status, PM message, calendar, sitcky threads, advanced UBB ... and a couple behind the scenes ones--like modaddon.cgi

Anyway, what happens is it says there are "visitors" when it's just me.

Any idea of what I should look for to fix that?

Also, I've asked this somewhere else, but what is the difference between WOL and "recent visitors"?

Mine is like that also , mine forums have only been open 5 days and i have 72members and it said 13 people online and 70 guests , no way could i of got that ammount of guests

70? Make sure that Uniqs per IP in the PNTF control panel is < 5 and > 1.

Call me blind, but I've scoured my entire Control Panel and I didn't locate the option you speak of CC.

I believe I am also plagued by the same thing. My board will list about 25 users on... and I know I don't have that many on at once.

Where is this option you speak of? For a blind person!

CC mine at the minute is set to 10 ? also to get to it go to :

Control Panel >> Miscellaneous >> Recent Visitors Settings

I just changed it to 3 , hope that helps

Maybe it's a result of some mod I've yet to install?

Hmmmm thats strange , re check ur cp_common.pl (think its that file) and check it has it anywere in there , if not i will give you the code

Okay Demolition.

I've downloaded my cp_common.pl file and scoured it.

I located this two lines:

document.writeln(" - Recent Visitors Wordlet$trade List");

document.writeln(" - Recent Visitors Settings");

But, still, the variable does not show up in my boards Control Panel >> Miscellaneous >>

So what did I screw up?

And I'm wondering if it's due to an error I found. While 're-looking' for the option you pointed out, I discovered my one and only obvious bug, but I put it on a new thread because I wasn't sure it was related to this, but you never know. Topic: Error in CP - the "Modification Settings"

Hey Demolition here , having problems getting back into my other account , but anyway , are you sure you don't have SIX drop down boxes in your Control Panel ?

OK you may not have this in that file , (sorry i am new to all this so this is trail and error with me as well)

Open cp_common.pl and look for:

Then Clear Cache

All this time I thought you meant the first pull down window on the upper left. There's a pull down field called: Miscellaneous

I found what you're referring to. Middle pulldown window on the bottom row.

I found the variable now... Thanks Demolition! BTW did changing it to "3" solve your problem?
