I upgraded to 6.2.1.1 because the PM weren't working. They would e-mail you but would not show up once you clicked the link.
Now I upgraded and when I attempt to send a message I get this error. But I do not even have this directory. What is going on?
Can't open '/usr/home/jpfrm/Members/pm_topics/N/00000095.cgi'. Permission was denied - please ask the administrator to check the permissions on that file/directory!
The exact error returned by the operating system is: Permission denied

If you'd like to try out a beta PM inbox / outbox rebuilder, drop a mail to [email protected]...

Charles thanks for the app but it did not solve the problem. It did recreate the dirs with some member files in them but I still get the same error.
What can I do to get PM working again? I do not care about the old PM's if that matters just want to get them functinal again so any advice would help me out a lot.
Thanks!

Funny...the indexer should have detected that the file was unavailable and removed it from the index if it couldn't be fixed...
Nothing to do from here but try to reset permissions on it.. and if that fails, delete it...

Delete what? All the PM dirs then recreate them?

No - permissions on the files and directories... and only delete that one file IF the permission reset doesn't work.

When you refer to 'file' what file do you mean. 00000095.cgi? If that is it, that file does not exist. If I attempt to send various people messages it just changes the /N/ dir to another letter and gives the same error.

Whoa. Now THAT is weird.
Nuke all your hacks and open an Infopop support ticket - we'll definately want to look at your installation...

I have no hacks?
I think what happened was PM have not been saving for a long time. It sent the e-mail out but never saved it to the server.
Can't I just like upload something and start PM over? Since there are no PM's basically I don't mind I just want it to work again or do I have to open some support ticket?
