My private forums are working fine.. but my public forums give me the following screen when I try to post:

Content-type: text/html
Software error:
Can't open: Not a directory at /home/tfcredcl/public_html/cgi-bin/rccgi/ubb_new_topic.cgi line 381.

Any ideas? My forum is at http://www.tfcredclan.com/cgi-bin/rccgi/ultimatebb.cgi

Open up ubb_new_topic.cgi in a plain text editor that gives line # information and go to line 381. Look to see what file and/or directory that line is referencing. That error more than likely means you have incorrect permissions somewhere, probably on whatever file or directory line 381 is referencing.

I'm guessing the UBB didn't create a new Forum folder for those forums.

This is line 381:

close (FILE);

this is what line 381 is contained in:

}
&unlock;
close (FILE);
chmod (0777, "$vars_config{MembersPath}/$user_number.cgi");
} # end update user profile

Yes, it shows all the files. I rechecked all permissions over the whole board also.

Are your absolute paths and URL paths to the Members folder all correct?

I rechecked everything, literally. I gave up and reinstalled with pleasing results. Thank you for your efforts.
