Stupid question #3 or 4 -- how does MultiHack know my remote server settings? The Options settings only asked me for where the hard drive directories would be located. How does the Hack actually get uploaded?

I feel foolish asking this question. It should be obvious??????

I run XP. My system crashes when I open MultiHack 2.0.1.

Any suggestions?

Yup... Don't run MultiHack :s...

I have this problem too, and so do many other people who run XP.

all i want to do is have a crapload of GRAEMLINS like ADWOFF has at her site.

is it possible to just pull the files from the OUTPUT and manually install them (thus defeating the whole purpose of MULTIHACK)

for instance what if this were my progress list:

• downloaded Multihack,
• got the hack, SmilieMod6.2.1.1,
• opened it to the OUTPUT folder i designated
• uploaded the files to the cgi-bin, templates, and noncgi (which i created) and folders respectively through WS-FTP
• i also put the noncgi items into the UBB folder (to be sure)
• uploaded all the new graemlins

....... and still no dice.


In the CONTROL PANEL of UBB, of course you have your 11 designated Graemlins and 25 custom.
NOW --- how is it i go about adding more commands and displaying the new graemlins after the hack is supposedly in place?

is it possible the hack was unsuccessful. is MULTIHACK supposed to be used like an FTP upload installing the hack directly, if so how do i define that? the file cp_graemlin exists concurrently with cp_smilies . . .could this be mucking thing up.

Hell at this point if it's so easy i'd be happy to send ANYONE into my BBS and implement the damn thing!

I uninstalled it and installed it again, and it worked fine, without the errors and crashes. Go figure. ???

ok now by some mysterious chance i was previously able to add a 26th GRAEMLIN from the CONTROL PANEL but now it says i can't add anymore and my max is 25?
even though it's now displaying 26 plus my original 11.

now whose math is wrong?!?!?!
