Having seen what a difference mods can make to UBB (it might be enough to stop me migrating across to a php board), I think that I might become hooked. But, one quick question before I get too carried away - when I next upgrade UBB (currently on v6.2.1.2) will all my mods be deleted and I will need to reinstall (and presumably only do so for mods that are known towork with the version I upgrade to)?

upgrading versons that are new releases most of the time mean losing hacks (like a 6.2 to 6.3 upgrade) but upgrading versons like minor upgrades (like 6.04 to 6.05 for example) you can save all your hacks via a prog like beyound compare.

Anime, nope.
The only v6 upgrade that can't work with Beyond Compare is 6.0 -> 6.1. You can even use 6.1 -> 6.3.

Doing that is NOT advised - there are a number of changes that are subtle and might be overlooked...

i never tried using byound compare with majior releases, so i went with what i know, heh.
