Hi,

I searched high and low and could find another question like this ...

I have UBB 6.2.1. Allen has done all of the version upgrades and hack installs for me. LK tweaked his chat mod for me. The UBB has always worked flawlessly until today. Posts began dropping off of the board. My mods did not do it and neither did I. There were about ten posts that were there from this morning and then this afternoon they have disappeared. Any ideas?

I have never hacked anything or even accessed any of the hackable files. I just do some stuff in the CP sometimes. I had not even been in there in several weeks to do anything to cause this. Some of the missing posts are my own that I had put into a forum that I am the only person with mod authority. I went to the CP this evening and checked my post history and the posts do not show up there either. I promise that I am not crazy. I have never pruned the cache or anything like that. Is there some kind of maintenance that I need to do?

You can rebuild forum stats and member post histories... if the posts are still around, they'll show up. It's a bit puzzling tho...

Hi Allen,

I tried both of those and still the posts have disappeared from the main board and also from the member post history. Maybe it was just a gremlin or something. I'll watch and see if it happens again.

Is there any other log files that would show a history other than from the member's posting history?

Ok, my plot thickens. My UBB lives on an Earthlink server and they were doing the final part of an IP addy change on my site yesterday which may have caused this?

Anyways, the missing posts from yesterday will show up in the topic review area when you are replying to a post in that category today. But they dont show up on the main page or in the member's post history. No more posts have vanished since my ISP finished their thing yesterday. I should be Ok now? A few posts that live in the topic review area wont hurt anything, will they?
