I upgraded my board over the night, and I must not have transferred over a file correctly because my search function IS NOT working on either the boards OR the rebuilding the search index in the CP.
I uploaded all the files I was supposed to via the upgrade; I then overwrote them with the hacked files from my test board (search indexing works there); however, I tried to be careful with the files I took from my test board--making sure that I didn't erase a file that didn't need to be changed.
So, my question is this--which file(s) do I need to look for to check and see if I updated it properly?

Uhm... cp_index.cgi and cp_users.cgi, at least. Well, I haven't checked, but if memory serves, etc...
