i used FrontPage 2002 to design some of one of my web sites. i can't view the site in Netscape. anyone know how to fix that? it works great in IE. i think the major problem is that i used absolute positioning and i'm not sure that Netscape recognizes that. thanks for any replies

Welcome netscape is pretty unforgiving with table errors. You might try validating your pages to w3's standards (pick xhtml 1.0 transitional or html 4.01 transitional) - that would ensure most browsers can see your site like you intended: http://validator.w3.org

I have used FP for years now and there are some things that are definately not supported by NS Browsers.
Open FrontPage, go to "Tools", then "Page Options" click the "Compatibility" Tab and make sure the "Browsers:" is pulled down to say "Both Internet Explorer & Navigator"
Absolute positioning though is bad and I stopped using it long ago, create tables to position things on the page, it works much better but it is tough for a FP person to learn ;-) I did it for the better.

I personally hate the way Frontpage screws up the HTML code. If I have to use a Editor i use GoLive

FP 2002 can do a nice job with html in experienced hands... there's a small learning curve there Dreamweaver mx does xhtml now as well
