I am working on a Quake 3 forum, and have x-plug installed. For those who don't know what x-plug is, it's a html proggy that shows a server and who's playing. The clan members want to have 2 separate x-plugs shown, 1 publically in the open forums showing 1 server, and 1 privately show in the private forum so only those who have access to the private forum can see it.

Right now I have the code for the public servers in public_forum_page.pl, public_forum_summary.pl, and public_topic_page.pl. I can't, for the life of me, fiure out how to get just the private x-plug server to display in the private forum only.

I hope I explained myself enough frown . Any help would be appreciated.

an easy way of displaying that info would be putting it in the header of the style. that way you dont have to hack the templates smile

as for your question, i dont know but im sure someone dose, nice forum you got there

Did you put it in the forum header?

If it only uses HTML, do what LD/AL said - put it in CP - Forum Settings - [choose forum] - Forum Introduction.

If it also uses Perl (or if it just doesn't work), it's more complicated.
After you add public_forum_page.pl and public_topic_page.pl, just add:
if ($in{f} == FORUM_NUMBER_HERE) {
private code here;
}

For example, if ($in{f} == 2) {...
