I need to move my board to another hosting company because mine sucks. What's worse is my real job is taking so much time that I do not have the time to deal with moving this board.

I would like to hire someone to do it for me as the $600.00 that infopop wants to charge seems a little steep for something that should take less then an hour.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

Thanks,

Mike

There's a good reason that it costs that much for us to do it - most moves often are VERY troublesome and can take more than a day.

Ditto. I moved ours and upgraded in a 16-hr session. That was no fun, and I wa skinda new to it. $600 is a bargain if you have the coin!

I guess that people pay Infopop to transfer their boards only if they have a problem moving it themselves - then it might take many hours to move it. If it's a very simple move - they can just move it themselves or hire someone that wants less money. The problem is that they can mess something up or just give up, and Infopop (probably) will sort it...

(btw, I moved mine myself tipsy )

Yeah, moving boards can be easy or... well... difficult. Moving my test UBB across servers on my LAN, the first move (Windows - Linux) was an wasy move, but moving from a Linux to a Linux there were quite a few probs. Sometimes it can throw up all kinds of problems and take ages.

Well, if you still need it, I have the time and plenty of experience moving boards around...
