I was away from my computer @ home, and I am running v7.5 of the UBB. How would I upgrade that to 8.2 (Earthquake) without losing my styles, members, or posts?

Please search this forum and the Infopop forums. There are dozens of descriptions on how to do this

Umm, all of them are too vague. They are just update the new files! I need something to tell me some more specific stuff, or how I can backup my existing Forums + Posts + Members + Styles

You can avoid over-writing your styles and set-up files by making sure that you do NOT upload the variable files.

Hope this helps.

The wordlets have changed since then though, so you'll need to note your old wordlets and put them in manually when you upload the new wordlet files.

The simplest way to upgrade is sort your files by date and upload all files newer than the date your present files were released. I do this in ws_ftp and only upload the newer files... make sure the pm files (they are new too) are uploaded in ascii.
