I just upgraded to beta 7 to 6.04 and I started to make some modifications, but if I upgrade to a higher version, (when released) all of my modifications will be lost. Is there a way to prevent this or must I make modifications every time I upgrade my ubb?

There's a program called Beyond Compare that can upgrade the files without losing your modifications. There's quite a bit of manual sorting and stuff involved, so it's not quite as easy as just reuploading the files... but sometimes it's easier than reuploading and rehacking.

Grr... I can't think of the address for it right now, sorry. Search some of the forums for "Beyond Compare" and you should come up with posts with links.

Thanks. I will search it and I hope it will help me. What about multihack? It's a newly released program. I didn't have time to examine it, but do you think that it works?

Sure thing buddy! It's a harder URL to remember, and I don't even go there very often, but it was still in the back of my memory. smile

what is this software for? I'm so stupid that I read that site and couldn't get any idea on how to upgrade without losing the mods.
