hey im currently runnin ubb6.04b and i need help, i got it to run,

http://www.cimmerian.org/cgi-bin/ld/ultimatebb.cgi

but i cant send a private message it tells me

Content-type: text/html
Software error:
open | -t -oi: No such file or directory
at /www/cimmerian/cgi-bin/ld/ubb_lib_mail.cgi line 39

For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([email protected]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

maybe its chmodding the files, i dont know

maybe... that looks like an error we used to get on older v6 versions... did you upload the module folder and its files in ascii?

make sure your ubb cgi folder and any folders within it are set to 777 as well.

yes i did, also my friend runs a board, and he's havin the same problem, can dis be a bug?

upping need help on this also please... I chmod all the files correctly and the directories, still get the same error..

AllenAyres: thanks for your support..

But to the rest of you all? Whats the deal? You told us that you will no longer support 5 x versions so did info pop, so I said okay I purchased 6.04b version and still no support.. Just saying maybe someone could help a brova out? I scrolled down and it seems like a lot of people have had this same problem, and not one thread was there a solution.. I believe it to be an installation error, the only hacks I added when I realized this problem, was memberlist and whos online, crisis removed all his hacks and still got the same error ... any suggestions would be helpful ..

like allen said, this problem occurred in the earlier v6 series. how, then, do we solve said problem? with an upgrade! fyi, the latest version is 6.04e, so you really have no reason to be using 6.04b anymore.
