UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? Fresh Installed 6.04e... but having trouble with getting old Members to work...

Yeah well... I was dumb, and I accidentally did the Fresh Install instead of the Upgrade install.

I went from 5.46a to 6.04e... which is what I'm working on now. Anyways, I really need help... because I had like 500 members on my 5.46a board... and I backuped all their member files... reuploaded them into the Member's directory of 6.04e... and it doesn't detect them.

I don't know what to do... cuz since I didn't follow the upgrade instructions... it is makin this kinda hard for me.

So PLEASE, don't tell me I'm screwed and there is no way to fix it... cuz there HAS to be! I can't just let all that member data be lost on my new board!

If you know how to help... I BEG you to please let me know what to do. Thanks.

Take the backup you made of your UBB5 board before you upgraded and reinstall it (I hope you made a backup before doing anything else). Verify your version 5 board is working properly. Then re-upload the UBB6 files per the UPGRADE instructions and run the upgrade script and follow the upgrade instructions.

Can I do this w/out messing up all my current v6.04e configurations?
