Sorry guys if this is like a stupid question but is there not an Announcement option in version 6.0?... I'm not sure whether I editted it out when applying a MOD but then again I looked in the original backup files and i dont see it.
If anyone can tell me where it is it would help.. and sorry if its right out in front of me, but i've looked and i must be going blind.

The announcement feature has changed from UBB5. To show/make an announcement on the forum summary page go to your control panel and then to to the Primary Settings dropdown box, select General Display Settings. Scroll down and you'll see a field called "Forum Intro Text". That is where you type your Announcement and it will appear at the top of the forum summary page.
Go through the same process to make intro text in each individual forum, but do it through Forum Settings. After selecting a forum to edit, look for the Forum Intro Text box and type away.

AH.. this is not good : for some cases it is but posting regular announcements is gonna be a ***** .. ah well anyway thanks for your help on helpin me find it
