I upgraded from 5.04c (I think) to 6.04 to 6.05 now... When I originally went from 5 to 6 the "total posts" count was drastically lower. I had something like 13,000 posts and it was only reading about 4,000.
1. Is there a fix for this. 2. If not, Can I make a modification to code to Add back the missing count?
(No, I am not trying to pad my posts. The site has been up for three years and we have 370 members.)

He said his site had been up for 3 years and he didn't upgrade in those 3 years. I'd say the files for your 5.04c and written different to a more recent 5.4 version so thats maybe why.

Big Dog, if u were on a 5.04 The files would be writ differently to what they are on a 5.4 version so I don't think you can transfer ur member or topics files from your uld v5 to a 6.

The update should have worked ok... first, update member posting history (stats) in the maintenance section of your control panel and tell me if that fixes it.:)

No, it didn't work. I think I fowled up the upgrade somehow, but it's all up and running fine. Just way less on the count of posts. Looking for which file I should update?

If this is your site: http://www.groundspeedweb.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi I am not sure what you are talking about, there's not 4,000 posts on the whole site. So you didn't lose threads, just a post #. Redo it manually... edit your profile manually.

So what did I do?!?!
Maybe I'm pruning the post incorrectly. The older version kept the count when I would prune messages. I don't know... But thanks for the tip.

did you prune the threads?
and are you talking about your personal post count that shows up in each post or are you talking about the total number of threads listed in the forum summary?

Yes, I pruned the threads. I was asking about total posts summary for the entire forum. When I added the statistics hack, I noticed the count was WAY off but I don't think it was that hack, I think it happened a while back.
Thanks, BD
