UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? Wrong totals for topics and posts

Well, I dug through the board and wasn't able to find an answer, so I thought I'd toss this one out to you all to see if anyone else knows a good way to "fix" this problem. Here goes:

I just finished manually porting my board from 6.05(e?)(I forgot) to 6.2.1. Lots of hard work.

I've added about 14 hacks. Ouch. hehe One of those is News Fader... the reason I mention that is because that is the hack that pointed out this discrepency.

Total posts and topics are listed in the News Fader 841 topics and 4835 posts... but I did a little math using the forum summary numbers and just my posts count is over 7000! After some investigating and numerous rebuilds of the stat files, I think that the totals shown on the Forum Summary are the wrong ones and are too high. Again, I'm not sure.

So I ran down the maintenance menu and rebuilt stat files, member post histories, cleared cache, etc etc. No change...

Anyone have any ideas for a fix? If I posted this in the wrong place, please move it and I'll follow up there.

It's not a life or death thing, but I'd certainly like the numbers to match up.

I just checked all the numbers, and I think your Newsfader doesn't include private forums... Mine works fine though...

Hmm... you think that's it? Interesting. Will do some more number crunching tonight to check that theory out.

Any idea how to get private forums included in that?

I did the math too and you are right LK... So now to figure this out...

I assume UBB tracks the post totals and News Fader pulls the info from UBB, therefore, is it a UBB problem? Hmm...

Hints or tips anyone? How to make UBB count private forums if that's the case here?
