UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? Forums are gone

I moved to a new host yesterday, going from a Win2k/IIS host to a *nix host (finally!). I thought I got all the permissions set correctly, but I guess I missed some. Because when I open the forum summary page, it is completely devoid of forums and categories. I could have sworn I'd seen this problem answered here before, but I searched and couldn't find it. So does anyone know what to do when this happens? Thanks in advance.

Try the following: open CP - Forum Settings - Click on a forum - Category: [choose category].

Only when you click on a forum, not on the main forum settings page. After you do it for every forum, open the board and clear cache.

Hi,

I had the same problem, but only changing the category back in the forum properties didn't help all that much, i could see my forums again, but when u are in a topic, and click on the forum in which the topic is located the page was blank.
I found the solution to this problem:
delete the file "categories.file" in your base UBB directory and recreate the categories and associate the forums with the category, then everything works
