I like the splash page layout of this site http://www.ubdev.com. How can I model this look. I know how to change color etc ... I am talking about the boxes to the left and right with content. -Squeed

Look thru the forums or do a search for sidebars, I know, it's hard. I'm a newbie at this also, but I'm learning quick

Check this article here for basic integration: https://ubbdev.com/db/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=000001 You can also do a "view source" of our html and see how we did some things. We're using the ubbnews mod for most of what you see on our front page. the small calendar is from LK's calendar mod welcome

Thanks for the tips. What I don't understand is, are you getting the sidebar there by pasting the sidebar HTML into your forum header or footer boxes ? Or are you using a totally separate HTML page that has your forum and the side bar embedded ?
I know how to make the sidebar, I just don't know where to put the code.

How To: Basic design integration places navigation bars either at the top, bottom, left, or right side of your ubb (or a combination of some or all of these). This is accomplished using tables and is easily done by copying the correct parts of the tables into the "header" and "footer" boxes in your general settings part of your control panel. Basically, you start a table in the header, and end the table in the footer, placing your ubb in the middle.
:)does this make sense? I wrote it a long time ago and maybe it doesn't Did you do a 'view source' on the example files? That would explain more
