I am having constant errors with my forums. I am running 6.2.1.3 and have been for about 6 months. My site is recieving around 3 mill hits a month. Seems like every week some of the cgi scripts become corrupt or loose their permissions. I have to go in and reload the files and reset the permissions and all is well. (for a few more days) Anyway this is getting extremely frustrating. Any suggestions? I am looking into upgrading in the next week or so. I do not want this problem to follow me.

Your web hosting provider is probably doing this - please contact them.

Of those three million pageviews a month to your site, how many reach your UBB?

We advise moving to UBB.threads or to a dedicated server once you reach between half a million and one million pageviews a month on your UBB.

I am in contact with the hosting provider. I can say that they have been LESS than helpful. We considered threads but I was advised against it. The guy I was talking to was saying something about SQL accounts and all that. I am not familiar at all with this so it is all pretty daunting.

If you could quote what he said to you, it would be very helpful...
