Site owner has just paid for the upgrade to 6.3 and already I'm having members on my back. When a topic runs to multiple pages, it currently defaults back to the first page after a reply is submitted, they want it to default to the last page and preferably to the point of last reply. Is this possible guys, well I know it's possible I just need rather a lot of help
Now that's weird. This is definitely part of the Anchor Hack that was integrated into 6.3... Have they taken the Anchor Hack functionality out of UBB, or is it that the server software doesn't support #location-style links (doubtful)? I'm not really sure without a link to the UBB.
The hash part of the URL is handled by the browser - it's never passed to the server.
*JUST* paid for an upgrade to 6.3? The only version that professional installations install is the latest release, 6.3.1.2, which has this anchoring functionality built right in...
Who said the place was professional It's a bike site, we are still running on 6.1 while us two admins play about with 6.3 on the test site. We want to make sure all the hacks we have in place on 6.1 are gonna work seamlessly before dropping 6.3 onto our members. Didn't I make clear the anchor I was talking about was actually in 6.1?? I haven't even explored 6.3 that far yet.
