I'm writing a simple hack to not allow junior members/unreg'd users to post URLs (to stop people signing up to spam URLs...). I can't work out how I'm supposed to get at $user_status . It's in the bit which automatically changes links to URLs ATM; it's the only thing holding me back. I could work it out myself, possibly, but it'd probably end up taking half a year like ading variables .

Check the user profile line [8] that has the user status, eh?

I tried that, it didn't seem to work... Maybe I should try again...

$username and $user_number are always present - you can get the status via OpenProfile... however, there can be conditions during which a post can be processed that is NOT owned by the user making the request, so this may have unintended side-effects.
